No. £5 is the stake I personally use. Choose a stake you can comfortably afford to lose. Smaller stakes mean proportionally smaller returns and losses. You can always increase them later after a winner or two.
“Will there be losing runs?”
Yes. My ledger records 186 losing fourfolds and 8 winning ones. You should be comfortable with that type of betting before putting money down.
“Can I expect the same profit?”
No. These are historical figures. Future results could be worse, or they could be better. I cannot predict the future and there are no guarantees. This is gambling after all. If you expect guaranteed future profits, then maybe betting isn't for you.
